The Effect of Explosions on the Protective Wall of a Containerized Hydrogen Fuel Cell System

With the development of hydrogen energy, containerized fuel cell systems are being used in distributed energy-supply systems. Hydrogen pipelines and electronic equipment containers can trigger hydrogen-explosion accidents. In present study, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software was to calculate affected areas container-explosion accidents with without protective walls. The effects were studied for walls at various distances heights. results show that strategically placing effectively block propagation shock waves flames. However, wall has a limited effect on reduction overpressure temperature behind when is insufficiently high. Reflected explosion flames will cause damage area inside too close container. this 5 m away from container 3 high protect prevent due reflection flame. This paper presents suitable setting scheme containers.
